The weather is nice. In the upper 60's, winds from the North West. I got up, had breakfast and then got ready for the ride without the morning nap. I wore the standard winter kit. The legs felt good to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good average time. I think I had a slight headwind, thus detracting from my time. The Banducci Wall had traffic mitigation from both directions, so I was on alert. I was near max to the top, but had enough in reserve. The Arosa climb was more relaxing. I kept the tempo no less than moderate. The first mile felt like it took more time than the rest. Nonetheless, I made it to the top and was near maximum. I zipped around the backside, had fun on the descent and made my way to the Banducci Summit. After making it to the summit, I took a few moments to recover and then let traffic by before heading back down the mountain. There was some road construction while descending Banducci. They were controlling traffic, but I was not delayed. Descending off the Banducci Wall was safe. I was feathering the brakes ever so slightly to keep things under control. From there, I headed up Highline. There was a slight tailwind so the climb went fast. I zipped around the Buffalo neighborhood and then back to Highline. I did the grind back to Banducci. Descending off OTR was relaxing. I pushed over Mariposa and made my way back home. I shut it down at the top of Weston after the usual dig.
Concentration was good. A bit impatient here and there. I'm acclimating to the slight increase in temperature, so I'm getting different body signals that I have to adjust to. Balance and form was good. Ailments were minimal. Some hand numbness on the out of the saddle digs. Nutrition was good. I fed half a banana and some grapes before the ride. That held me over Gear worked flawlessly. No mystery clicks today. I re-fitted the right pedal as that's where the noise was coming from on the last ride. My arm coolers keep riding down. I have to adjust them every 5 minutes, it is very annoying. I'll have to figure a way to secure them better. Other notes, I saw one casual e-biker today.
