Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Today's weather has let up. It looked to be a good day to go to WS. I got suited up. While I was getting ready, I noticed my stomach was starting to ache just a bit. I was thinking that it was probably going to get better. As a precaution, I brought some Pepto chew tablets. I headed out the door. As I was making my way down the street, it was a bit colder than I anticipated. I brought my skull cap just in case. As I was turning onto Country Club, I noticed my GPS wasn't started. So, I lost about 5 minutes of metrics. I made my way up OTR and the stomach was still upset. I told myself to see what it was going to be like when I reached the end. When I got there, very little had changed. It wasn't a piercing pain, but more of nausea. I decide to ride just a bit more. Instead of going towards WS, I thought about going up the Alpine Forest. I headed up the Banducci wall. When I reached the summit, I felt no different. I ended up turning around and went back home. I called this a scratch ride.
