It was raining overnight. The roads were damp in the morning, so I decided to ride indoors. I chose the default map of the day, London 9.x mi loop. I set out to do a negative split up Box Hill, and that's what I did. I spent the first 10 minutes warming up before the first time up Box Hill. I kept the pace moderate. Out of the saddle the majority of the time. I think I made the summit in about 8 minutes and change. I headed back to town. Putting in a good dig through the tunnel wall. The second time around went fast. I was approaching Box Hill, for the second time, doing between 2 and 2.5 Watts/kg. As soon as I reached the start, I got out of the saddle and commenced the grind. Again, out of the saddle for most of the climb. I was passing people left and right. Doing over 4 Watts/Kg most of the way up. When I was about two minutes from the summit, I noticed I was on a PR pace. So, I put in just a bit more effort. I reached the summit near max, placing second at that point in time. I posted a negative split by a significant margin. I headed back to town. Putting in a good dig through the tunnel wall (again). I almost reached 10 Watts/kg, that time. I pushed it just a bit to the start/finish as I was on another PR. From there, I put in another 5 minutes. I ended up riding till I reached about 24.5 mi. Then I shut down for the cool-down phase, while taking an alternate route. Concentration was good. Ailments, next to none. Balance and form, good. Gear worked great. (I forgot to start the Game Bar when I restarted Zwift.) So, about 20 minutes of record time today. Other notes, I got the orange jersey. No clue what that means. There were about 2500 riders on this map.
