I was debating in-door or out-door ride, today. When I got up, there were clouds outside. I think it was raining over night because the ground was damp. I got up from my morning nap and looked outside, the clouds had dispersed a bit. I decided to go to Keene. The water heater was broken and needed fixing, so I let dad have the garage to himself. I had a dentist appointment at 3pm, so that gave me 1:15 hrs of ride time. Perfect for Keene n Back. The weather was in the low 50's. Winds from the North West. I wore arms, knees, skull cap and one base layer. As I was making my way up WTR, I was trying to figure if I wore enough clothing. At that point, I wasn't wearing my skull cap, but I had it in my right pocket. I put it on as soon as I reached the summit. Glad I brought it. I made my way down to the base and was tucking to stay warm. I made it to the base in good average time and spared no time to make my way back. I was holding good tempo. Out of the saddle frequently. Counting the landmarks. I reached the summit in 1:04ish hours. From there, I took a few moments rest and then headed back down to home. Concentration was good. I had incentive and that helped. Ailments, I think I had some soreness in the left knee (momentarily on the uphill). Balance and form felt good. Gear worked flawless. Other notes, there were no cyclists today. There were some spectators at the loop.
