A fantastic day for riding it was. Temperature in the upper 60's. Mostly clear skies and wind from the north-west. I wore 1 base and arm warmers. I removed the arm warmers when I reached the end of OTR. My legs felt good from the start. I made it to the end of OTR in a good time of around 20 minutes. As I progressed on Highline, the wind was unusual. For the first mile, the wind was somewhat of a cross-head. As I made my way out, the wind shifted directions to a cross-tail. It was like that for the remainder of the out-bound leg. The return trip was comfortable in terms of the wind conditions. My pace never slowed down below 14 mph on the flats. I kept the tempo moderate and got out of the saddle frequently, especially on the last 2 kickers on the way back. Ailments were close to none. Some mild soreness in the right outer knee. I'm considering adjusting the heal-out to lessen the pivot. Concentration was good for the most part. I did encounter more then a few gremlins out there. I was lucky to be able to hold my focus on this ride. Balance felt good. I continue to enjoy the top for the bars position. Gear is working well. I brought my new Gopro Hero 4 camera and will check out the footage after I make this entry. Other notes, I stopped by the open field and got some footage of the local donkey.
