Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

It was getting hot today. In the 80's. But, the wind was on the cool side. A bit humid too. I had a tough time getting up today, but I managed to get my butt out of bed and on the bike. The legs felt pretty good from the start. I made it to the end of OTR in good average time. The Banducci wall went well. I think I had a headwind. I was just below max, over the top. The remainder was mostly good tempo, to the summit. Once there, I took a few moments rest. Checked the GoPro Battery. I think it was around 69%. From there, I headed downhill. Practicing my tuck, I reached over 40 MPH. The trek to SS was mostly into a steady headwind. So, I was doing mostly 15 to 18MPH. I made my way around the backside and then down. Doing over 40 MPH near the bottom. I reached the tunnel in about 1:01 hours. I zipped through town and then headed back. I had an imperfect tailwind, through the farmlands. Reaching Boss Hogs in about 1:02-ish hours. So, I gave up a minute or two. The last climb went quick. Just before, I swapped out the GoPro battery. I was able to hold good tempo. No digs over the summit, but I kept my momentum going. The false flat was mostly recovery. Then, onto Route 202. Some traffic mitigation. I decided to stay in the car lane, as I judged a big rig to be far enough behind. I was doing over 33 MPH, going into the center turn lane. From there, it was mostly fun and games. Concentration was good today. The morale felt good. I had a few things to think about. Ailments, minimal. Just the usual fatigue from the effort. Balance and form felt good. Maybe a slight saddle height adjustment needed? Gear worked perfect. Nutrition was spot on. I drank all of my Gatorade, and about 1/2 of my water. Other notes, no other cyclists today. Kern Wheelmen has decided to hold the Spooktacular ride on October 24th. I'm going to ride as if I'm preparing for it. Doing mostly the same stuff. If my schedule and health permits, then I'll up the mileage within a month of the ride.
