Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

It's hot today. I got up and did the usual stuff. I've been having a tough time getting out of bed after my early morning nap. Suffice it to say, I got out the door around 11:22-ish AM. I knew it was going to be a hot one today, the moment I stepped out the door. The temperature was already in the 80's and the air was hot and a bit humid. I decided to head up the Alpine Forest. When I reached OTR, I decided to put it into easy tempo. My body takes a while to acclimate. I reached the summit of OTR in average time. I made my way up the Banducci wall without redlining. Making good use of my small gears. Then the Alpine Forest. It took a while to make my way up Arosa. Again, no red-lining, and making good use of my small gears. I made my way to Banducci. All the while, reaching 44MPH on the quick dip. I took a few moments rest at the summit. I checked the GoPro battery and let traffic by. I headed downhill after that. The descent down the wall was fun. Tucking and reaching 44MPH. I headed up Highline. I wanted to see what the wind conditions were at the summit. Turns out that the wind did a reversal. So, I was motivated to go all the way to WS. I did a quick provisions check. I was a bit on the low side. But, I calculated that I'd make it back with just enough left over. When I reached WS, I pulled over to feed. At this point, I had consumed all of my Gatorade. So, I needed to add some sugar into the body, to last me the remainder of the ride. When I checked the GoPro battery, it was nearly depleted. So, I swapped batteries. I checked the charge, and the battery was also low. So, I had to devise a plan. I decided to capture the neat moments, and skip the boring stuff. Shortly after, I headed back. I had a nice tailwind, and was probably doing about 50% faster than the outbound. I made it to Tucker. I decided to commence the camera footage at the top of Highline, just before the summit. I was hoping on a nice tailwind, that would make for good video footage. Unfortunately, the wind was turbulent. So, I topped out around 30 MPH. I was having to ration my provisions. I had about 25% left on water, and almost no Gatorade left. The descent down OTR was good for the morale. After making it up Mariposa, I pulled over one more time to swap out the GoPro battery. From there, it was mostly fun and games. I made it back with just a few sips of water remaining. Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about, and the morale was pretty good too. Ailments. Some knee pains, that never escalated. Some quad soreness, also no escalation. Balance and form was good. I was stretching every so often. Gear worked flawless. I just forgot to charge the spare battery. Nutrition was barely enough. I'm glad I fed when I did. I had no hunger pains. I had just enough fluids to prevent dehydration sickness. Other notes, no other cyclists out there today. I saw an airplane towing a glider, at WS.
